Brightstar Wellness Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Fulshear, Texas, dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals living with sickle cell disease and other blood disorders. We integrate exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle modification as adjuncts to medication therapy and gene-based innovation. We operate at the intersection of science, self-care, and community, bridging gaps between patients, caregivers, and providers through education, advocacy, and holistic health programs.

I am a chef in the making and a passionate advocate for wellness through food, staffing, socialization, amongst many.As Board Chair of Brightstar Wellness Inc., I bring my love for culinary creativity and my commitment to community well-being together in one simple, yet a big purpose to help people discover healing, joy, and vitality through what they eat and how they live.My culinary journey is more than a pursuit of flavors, but is a calling to use food as medicine, culture, and connection. I believe that every meal can tell a story, restore health, and empower lives. Through my growing expertise in nutrition-forward cooking and holistic wellness, I aim to inspire healthier communities, especially among those living with chronic and genetic conditions.At Brightstar Wellness, I work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, educators, researchers, and advocates to develop innovative wellness programs, thereby blending culinary education, nutritional awareness, and integrative fitness. Together, we are reimagining wellness as something practical, personal, and joyful.Whether I’m in the kitchen experimenting with plant-based recipes or in board meetings shaping community initiatives, my mission remains the same: to make wellness deliciously attainable for everyone.

I have Managed highly complex projects within the Point of Sale space. Projects achieved increased customer satisfaction and decreased technical issues for employees. I’ve been privileged to lead the migration from the legacy tech stack to updated, modern industry standard tech stacks, led an engineering team that headed a Wholesale Trading legacy software migration for a business segment with over $130M in annual sales, managed the migration of a $500M legacy software system and introduced a mobile app which led to a decrease in $532K in billing errors in one year. The updated system had $10M in labor savings year over year.

With over 6 years of international research and consulting experience across Europe, Africa, and the U.S., I specialize in turning complex geospatial, ecological, and geochemical datasets into actionable insights for environmental decision-making.

I have experience teaching languages, and I believe that learning another language is a way to better understand others and ourselves. I currently work at Texas A&M University as a teaching assistant, helping students learn Spanish and discover new cultures.
